Claims Adjuster - Bodily Injury | Progressive, Inc. | Milford, CT

Progressive Casualty Adjusters are responsible for the investigation,
evaluation and negotiation of attorney represented and non-attorney
represented injury files. A portion of the inventory involves
litigated, UM/UIM and complex injury files. Some field investigation /
in person contact will be required.
The position is posted in Milford, but we will also consider qualified
candidates who wish to work in Glastonbury.
Job requirements:
- A minimum of one-year experience handling injury claims.
- Bachelor's degree, or 6 years work experience of equally complex nature,
or some combination thereof.
- Ability to negotiate bodily injury settlements with represented and
unrepresented parties.
- Ability to work with defense counsel on litigated inventory.
- Demonstrated success handling multiple priorities.
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency operating computers and claims-related systems.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Relevant work experience in a position that developed or required the
ability to think critically, solve problems, effectively communicate
verbally and in writing, and embrace new challenges. Knowledge of
automobile damage and mechanics of injury. Ability to negotiate face to
face or over the phone.

expected to: Lift, bend, stretch, walk, and/or crouch.
- Limited travel will be required to training classes or areas needing
additional staffing.
